Her nineteen-year old self manipulated, cannibalized, and left beyond the rear view mirror, present day 21-year old Eckman recounts her own murder in vivid detail. The Annapolis, Maryland singer-songwriter’s full-length debut album, out January 16, says to the world and her murderer: this is where you left me.

In her narrative-based, grotesquely vivid, emotionally honest lyrical style, Eckman guides listeners through two simultaneous stages of grief. The genre-crossing indie album’s folk-pop-punk-rock-midwest-emo-alternative songs grieve the self lost in a manipulative relationship and the loss of that very relationship.

This is the story of where you left me. The murder of nineteen year old Daphne, the relationship that murdered her, and the grieving process unraveled.
